Munir Zulu, a member of parliament for the Lumezi Independent district, has been taken into jail by the police.
This is after numerous requests for him to appear before police ended in failure.
A thorough statement regarding Mr. Zulu’s detention, according to police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale, will be released today.
“Police in Lusaka have apprehended Lumezi Member of Parliament, Munir Zulu. This was after several requests for him to present himself to Police failed,” he said.
