DOREEN MWAMBA, the minister of community development and social services, claims that her office has received information indicating that some individuals tasked with caring for patients with mental disabilities are abusing those patients.

The Minister claims that this is a result of the stigma attached to mental illness and the victims’ failure to seek assistance.
When Ms. MWAMBA visited Chainama Hospital, where two wards were being cleaned, she was chatting.
