Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister JACK MWIIMBU says people promoting and engaging in sodomy are committing a criminal offence.
Mr. MWIIMBU says the law in Zambia prohibits any conduct that is unnatural and doing so is punishable.
He says government will not condone any behaviour that violates the law and those doing so will be arrested.
Mr. MWIIMBU has stressed that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has on several occasions indicated he does not tolerate lgbt and that people insinuating otherwise are doing so to dent the image of government.
The minister said this in the National Assembly when responding to CHAMA South Member of Parliament DAVISON MUNG’ANDU.
