LUBU NXUMALO, Zambia’s deputy high commissioner to the UK, has hailed a British non-governmental organization for assisting Zambian youths in enrolling in universities overseas.
A charity with UK registration called Our Moon Education works in the Chibombo District.
Mrs. NXUMALO expresses her admiration for the organization for assisting school-leavers in obtaining admission to universities all over the world with the intention of using their education to bring about change in their communities.
She claims that, thus far, Our Moon Education has been successful in placing Zambian students in institutions such as Stanford, Cornell, Columbia, and Georgetown colleges in the United States, while sending Zambian students to Edinburgh and Oxford universities in the United Kingdom.
The creator of Our Moon Education, HELEN LEALE-GREEN, also disclosed that her group chooses some of Zambia’s most gifted young people from extremely underprivileged families.
