This evening, Zambia’s Under-20 Men’s National Team will play a friendly match against Nigeria.
At 17:00, the Junior Chipolopolo will play the Nigerian Flying Eagles in the first of two exhibition matches prior to the 2023 Egypt AFCON competition.
The game will take place in Abuja’s MOSHOOD ABIOLA Stadium, which holds 60,000 people and served as the site of the 2009 Under-17 World Cup final, which was hosted by Nigeria.
After the game, Zambia will travel to Dakar for the second international friendly against Senegal before traveling to Egypt for an international camp leading up to the event.
Zambia is in Group C along with Tunisia, Benin, and Gambia for the U-20 AFCON 2023, which will take place in Egypt from February 19 to March 11th.
Additionally, the top four teams at the AFCON will advance to the Indonesia-hosted FIFA World Cup.
