In 2021, the Cancer Diseases Hospital saw roughly 3,000 new cases of cancer.
The majority of the cases, according to TERENCE NYIRONGO, Public Relations Officer for Cancer Diseases Hospital, were in an advanced stage.
Following an upsurge in cases, Mr. NYIRONGO has now urged people to take an interest in learning about their cancer health.
According to him, early cancer diagnosis makes it easier to treat and cure the disease. The hospital is a national cancer referral treatment center.
Mr. NYIRONGO has moreover exhorted folks to utilize cancer screening facilities and hospitals to get checked and promptly seek medical assistance if malignancy is discovered.
