The National Heroes Stadium and OYDC’s running tracks will be repaired by a contractor, according to Zambia Athletics (ZA).
The project will shortly start, according to ZA President ELIAS MPONDELA, as technical procedures must be completed before the contractor can start working on both locations.
MPONDELA expects that construction can start promptly so that the project may be completed on schedule.
In a telephone conversation, he stated that the government, working with the ministry of sport, is making sure that the work is completed on time.
This year, the Confederation of African Athletics Under-20 Championship will take place in Zambia from April 19 to April 23.
