People of the Nangoma Constituency in the Mumbwa District are about to be evicted because it is reported that the local headmen sold 2,000 hectares of land to a Chinese investor.
The investor has brought his personnel and equipment to begin working on the land, according to Nangoma Member of Parliament COLLINS NZOVU, and this has caused tension among the villages.
According to Mr. NZOVU, who doubles as the minister of green economy and the environment, roughly 5,000 residents are impacted.
In a Lusaka interview with ZNBC News, Mr. NZOVU urged the Ministry of Lands to confirm the investor’s title deed.
