To prevent inflated pricing in public procurement, the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) has released the Market Price Index for the second quarter of 2023.
Spending agencies utilize the Market Price Index as a tool for making educated price decisions since it provides indicative current average prices of products and services on the market.
The Public Procurement Act Number 8 of 2020, which provides Public procurement guidelines, has been suggested by the Authority to be followed by procuring bodies.
This is in accordance with a statement made to ZNBC News by INUTU MUSHAMBATWA, principal public relations officer at ZPPA.
