Sewer effluent has overflowed into people’s homes as sewer ponds in Lusaka’s Garden compound flooded.
Residents are worried about disease outbreaks when a ZNBC TV crew discovered sewer water from the ponds spilling into several adjoining homesteads.
The Lusaka Water, Sanitation and Supply Corporation has been urged by the locals to fix the sewer overflow issue.
ADRIAN BANDA, a councillor for Ngwerere Ward 22, also stated that the water utility company has been contacted and has pledged to resolve the issue.
