Former Ministry of Defense Permanent Secretary STARDY MWALE has been detained by police in Lusaka for the crime of expressing or demonstrating hatred, mockery, or contempt for anyone based on their race, tribe, place of origin, or color.
According to police deputy spokeswoman DANNY MWALE, this is related to the allegedly made voice recording by the suspect.
According to Mr. MWALE, the suspect posted the recording in January 2023 on a number of social media sites where he expressed anger, mockery, or scorn for Bemba speakers.
Mr. MWALE in LUSAKA has confirmed to ZNBC News.
Mr. MWALE, 53, is being held in police custody while awaiting a court appearance and is from Chilima Farm in Chililabombwe.
