Ticket prices for the Netball World Cup in Cape Town have come under heavy scrutiny, halfway through the tournament.
Ticket prices start at R500 for two matches. Ticket sales have fluctuated since the start of the world cup last week, with a number of matches being played in arenas where the bulk of the seats were empty.
Addressing the media, Tournament Director, Priscilla Masisi, says they will now be releasing around 1 000 tickets to their partners, who will distribute them to underprivileged communities, to increase capacity at the arenas.
