Before to their U23 AFCON final round, first leg qualifier against Egypt, the Zambia U23 National Team has traveled to Niamey to play Niger in an international friendly.
The group flew on Ethiopian Airlines out of Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
On Friday, OSWALD MUTAPA’s team will play Niger in a friendly matchup as both teams get ready for their respective final round qualifiers against Egypt and Sudan.
Midfielder PRINCE MUMBA stated the team will approach the match for a comfortable win to enhance confidence for the game against Egypt just before departure.
The team has worked hard to get thus far, according to MUMBA, and they won’t be scared by the North African team.
He claimed that by fighting against top teams and succeeding, the team hopes to restore glory to the nation.
The team is now in good spirits, according to MARTIN ZULU, who noted that they have enjoyed every training session.
Zambia will travel to Egypt for the opening leg on March 22 at the Air Defense stadium before welcoming the youthful Pharaohs on March 27 at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium.
