An instant justice mob is accused of killing a 19-year-old University of Zambia (UNZA) student in Lusaka’s Garden House neighborhood.
SIANCHOKO MALUNGO was beaten to death last night at around 21 hours on suspicion of being a thief. He was reported missing on March 14, 2023.
Second-year student SIANCHOKO’s death has been confirmed by police deputy spokeswoman DANNY MWALE.
According to Mr. MWALE, SIANCHOKO was being attacked and beaten while returning home.
He continued, saying that when police arrived on the scene, they were able to save him from the crowd and take him to Kanyama First Level Hospital, where he was later declared dead.
There have been initiated inquiries.
