In the Livingstone district, around 7,500 cattle have received the Foot and Mouth disease vaccine.
According to MATTHEWS MUTALE, the Livingstone District Veterinary Officer, the vaccine campaign would take place between December 2022 and February 2023.
According to Dr. MUTALE, the department administers the Foot and Mouth disease vaccine twice a year as a preventative step.
The immunization program, he continues, has prevented Foot and Mouth illness from being reported in Livingstone for the past three years.
