Voting papers are anticipated across the nation today for the three local government by-elections slated for April 20, 2023.
Three wards—MUCHINDA in Serenje, CHITIMUKULU in Chililabombwe, and KATILYE in Lupososhi District—will have by-elections.
The Emirate flight carrying the votes is anticipated to arrive at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at 14:30, according to PATRICIA LUHANGA, Corporate Affairs Manager for the Election Commission of Zambia (ECZ).
According to a statement made to ZNBC News by Ms. LUHANGA, the ballots will be verified on April 12, 2023, at the ECZ Head Office in LUSAKA.
The elections are scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2023.
