According to the Zambia Bowling Association, equipment issues make it difficult to introduce the activity in classrooms.
The sport is still only popular with the elderly, according to Association President DALYSON MWEETWA, because it is expensive to purchase the equipment needed to support its grassroots development programs.
According to MWEETWA, the Association is in discussions with Zambia’s National Sports Council on how it may earn money to purchase equipment for young and veteran athletes.
According to him, the Association will organize the National singles and triples event this weekend, which has drawn more than 100 participants.
