JANET YELLEN, the secretary of the US Treasury, will travel to Zambia from January 22 to January 24, 2023.
On her African journey, which also takes her to South Africa and Senegal, Ms. YELLEN will visit Zambia, according to a news statement from the Treasury Department in Washington, DC.
She will meet with the president HAKAINDE HICHILEMA, the finance minister SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE, and the governor of the Bank of Zambia DENNY KALYALYA, according to the release.
The US Treasury Secretary will stop at Mylan Laboratory, a US company that sells anti-malarial and anti-retroviral medications, in Lusaka as part of her trip.
