1,115 boxes of illicit cigarettes were seized by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA), preventing a loss of 3.9 million Kwacha in taxes.
After scanning the truck, Nakonde Border officials discovered the packs of cigarettes, according to ZRA Acting Corporate Affairs Manager OLIVER NZALA.
In an interview with ZNBC, he stated this.
According to Mr. NZALA, the packs of cigarettes were packed in front of the food warmer boxes and not disclosed at the border.
He claims that ZRA has kept up its investment in cutting-edge technologies to improve its operations.
Mr. NZALA has additionally recommended importers and exporters to pay taxes and stay out of trouble.
