Suppliers of goods and services who provided services to governmental and statutory entities have been warned by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) to follow tax compliance procedures or risk not being paid.
And since then, all line Ministries, Government Departments, and Statutory bodies have been appointed as Third-Party Collecting Agents for the Zambia Revenue Authority by Secretary to the Treasury FELIX NKULUKUSA.
By the time it takes effect on March 13, 2023, all suppliers must be tax compliant, according to OLIVER NZALA, the ZRA Corporate Communications Manager.
According to Mr. NZALA, the purpose of appointing line Ministries, Government Departments, and Statutory bodies is to guarantee that the ZRA collects all taxes owed from payments made to vendors that provide the Government with goods or services.
