After a disagreement over play station games, a 15-year-old student at Mutende Secondary School in Mansa District, Luapula Province, is believed to have been slain by his older brother.
BWALYA MULENGA was initially kidnapped on Sunday, according to Luapula Provincial Police Commanding Officer GLORIA MULELE, and his kidnappers sent a short message service to his grandfather requesting a ransom of 3,000 kwacha.
Ms. MULELE added in a statement to ZNBC News that following investigations, police were able to locate the deceased’s older brother, who later confessed to killing his younger brother in front of a friend.
According to Ms. Mulele, the suspect later directed the police to the Mansa Golf Fields, where his small brother’s decaying body was found.
A postmortem found that the child died from strangling in the interim.
The guy and his friend have now been detained by police and charged with murder.
