After a boat carrying 32 people sank, four dead were recovered from Lake Mweru in Nchelenge, Luapula province.
Five more persons have now been identified as dead, while nine more are still missing.
Three remains, including one belonging to a child, were recovered by the marines, according to police deputy spokesperson DANNY MWALE, who verified this to ZNBC News.
According to Mr. MWALE, the search operation is still ongoing.
The incident occurred yesterday between six and eight in the morning when the boat traveled from Kilwa Island in Zambia to Kashobwe in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
