In the Eastern province, cashew management training has been provided to over 595 farmers from 7 districts.
Under the direction of the Empowering Farmers Foundation, farmers from Nyimba, Petauke, Sinda, Chadiza, Mambwe, Lundazi, and Chipata have received training.
According to ADREEN NANSUNGWE, the agricultural coordinator for the Eastern Province, the foundation was hired to offer technical knowledge when the cashew value chain was introduced to the area.
During the distribution of more than 65,000 cashew seedlings in the Petauke district’s Minga sector, Dr. NANSUNGWE was speaking.
