Chiefs’ palaces should be built as part of Constituency Development Funds-CDF projects, according to LOCAL Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary for Technical Services NICHOLAS PHIRI.
Speaking when he made a courtesy visit to Chinsali Mayor Lucy MUKUKA, Mr. PHIRI remarked that in three years, all Chiefs should have palaces.
And Mr. PHIRI stated that by the end of this year, schools should have enough desks for students so that nobody is forced to sit on the floor.
He continued by saying that the district should put a high priority on building maternity wings and water reticulation systems.
Additionally, Ms. MUKUKA stated that the Chinsali Municipal Council will collaborate closely with administrative bodies to carry out a number of projects in the area.
However, Ms. MUKUKA disclosed that maternity wings have been built in the Nkweto and Chambeshi districts to improve access to maternal health.
