Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, domestic travelers supported more than 60% of the hotel sector last year, according to the Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA).
ZTA’s interim CEO, CHAVUNGA LUNGU, claims the organization has worked hard to encourage domestic travel.
Mr. LUNGU continues by saying that ZTA simply makes use of the Victoria Falls to draw travelers to other places in the nation.
In an interview, Mr. Lungu stated that the government is aware of the difficulties the tourism industry has, including bad infrastructure and traffic.
