A 50-year-old Congolese man is wanted by Ndola police on suspicion of killing Kachasu, the five-year-old kid he gave Kachasu.
Peter Chisenga, the suspect, supplied Kachasu to his kid, who eventually passed away.
The event took place on Friday while the boy’s mother, Delia Ndimani, was abroad for her charcoal business, according to Copperbelt Province Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba.
Mr. Mweemba stated that Mr. Chisenga, a suspect who fled after learning of his son’s death, is being sought by police.
“When Ns Ndimani returned home on Saturday morning around 05:00 hours, she discovered that one of her children Aaron Chisenga was not well and could not talk. She inquired from other children who revealed that their father was enjoying a bottle of number one Kachasu around 01:30 hours and that he shared some with the boy who later became unwell,” he said.
He said after the mother noticed that the boy was unwell she rushed him to Arthur Davison children’s hospital where he was certified dead.
Mr Mweemba said the body of the boy is in the hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
