Chambishi Copper Smelter has received praise from Labour and Social Security Minister BRENDA TAMBATAMBA for upholding safety at the facility.
Since the company’s operations began in 2009, according to Ms. TAMBATAMBA, there have been no fatalities reported.
However, she has encouraged management to reinstate the staff members who were fired after mounting a protest last month.
The 16 employees who protested were not pleased with the deal they were given during negotiations.
