Next Monday, the Kasama Municipal Council will start reviewing loan requests submitted by the district’s two constituencies under the CDF.
This is in line with the efforts made by the Ministry of Local Government and Housing to identify and engage banks as its agents who will disburse the loans on its behalf, according to Council Assistant Public Relations Officer CHARITY CHAIWILA.
According to Ms. CHAIWILA, money for the loan component are available, and after all the procedures have been finished, the authority will issue the loans for all three quarters.
The administration has so far received more than 470 applications from the Kasama central and Lukashya constituencies, she told ZANIS in Kasama.
