The National Agricultural Information Services (NAIS), a division of the Ministry of Agriculture, has launched a radio station called Lima Radio.
The goal of the radio station is to spread agricultural knowledge more widely.
The creation of a radio station under the Ministry of Agriculture, according to Agriculture Permanent Secretary GREEN MBOZI, will improve the delivery of extension services to farmers.
In an interview with NAIS in Lusaka, Mr. MBOZI stated that the radio station would support the efforts of the agricultural camp extension agents in providing information to farmers.
However, Mr. MBOZI has urged journalists to share accurate and reliable agricultural information.
Additionally, according to NAIS Deputy Director STUBBS MALAMBO, the radio station will enhance the unit’s work.
