A 57-YEAR-OLD BUSINESSMAN from Chilenje Township in the city of Lusaka is in court for allegedly defiling his daughter, 12, after offering her a drink that would put her to sleep.
The alleged incest allegedly took place between 2013 and 2016.
It is stated that the accused would give the victim a drink to put her to sleep before defiling her.
The child would wake up the following morning with a backache and discover she was sans undergarments.
The victim’s aunty is said to have taken the youngster to the hospital for an examination after learning about the suspected incest and fresh sperm in the child’s genitalia.
This Monday, the defendant is expected to enter a plea before Lusaka Magistrate Mutinta Mwenya.
