The United Party for National Development (UPND) has reassured the populace that neither a shortage of medicine nor a rise in the price of power is imminent.
According to UPND spokesperson CORNELIUS MWEETWA, the average national availability of medications is currently 75%.
By the first quarter of next year, Mr. MWEETWA claims that the UPND government will have made 90 percent of the nation’s medications available.
He was addressing today in LUSAKA at a press conference.
Mr. MWEETWA added that the new Cost of Service Report by ZESCO does not necessarily mean that energy rates will rise right away.
According to him, the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) will decide on the ZESCO petition for an increase in pricing based on the nation’s current economic position.
However, Mr. MWEETWA refuted claims that President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s international travels are a waste of the country’s resources.
On the other hand, Mr. MWEETWA claimed that President HICHILEMA had cut costs on his international travel because he was traveling with a small delegation.
