The “Know Your Skin Clinic” clinic in Lusaka’s Woodlands Area has been closed down by the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) for operating illegally.
Additionally, COLLINS SIMUNDO, the facility’s proprietor, was detained for posing as a dermatology specialist.
The suspect was discovered operating an unauthorized health center and acting as a health practitioner, where he admitted to never having been registered with HPCZ despite having gathered the paperwork, according to HPCZ Public Relations Manager TERRY MUSONDA.
According to Mr. MUSONDA, a review of the documents, materials, and tools seized from the unlicensed operation revealed that the space was used for medical consultations, tests, and treatments.
He urged the populace to use alternative, licensed medical facilities and to alert HPCZ to any dubious medical institutions or practitioners.
