The Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission, or CEEC, is pleased with how the recipients of the marketeer booster loans have responded.
Following a tour of Chilenge Market, MICHELO MUKATA, the commission’s communications manager, said the commission is happy that several marketeers have already begun repaying their loans and that their businesses are doing well.
One of the beneficiaries, AGRIPA MBEWE, thanked the government for the initiative and noted that his company has long needed empowerment.
Martin Mwila, the national director of the Legacy Africa Movement, has praised the government for the effort.
The idea, according to Mr. MWILA, is a game changer for businessmen and women.
