The government has urged mining companies doing business there to work with it to save the nation’s forests.
According to COLLINS NZOVU, minister of green economy and environment, trees make up the majority of the earth’s surface and are crucial to both human and animal survival.
He has urged mining companies to grow trees in order to slow the consequences of climate change while simultaneously increasing copper output.
The inauguration of the 2023 national tree planting campaign, with the slogan “Plant a tree and save the environment,” was where Mr. NZOVU made his remarks.
Additionally, JUNIOR KEYSER, general manager of FQM Trident, stated that the mining firm aims to mine in the most ethical manner possible to protect the environment.
