Elvis Nkandu, minister of youth, sports, and the arts, asserts that when used effectively, the arts may make a significant contribution to economic growth.
Mr. Nkandu included Nigeria, South Africa, and China among the nations whose economies have benefited from the arts sector.
He has labored to develop the potential of young people with various artistic talents.
This was spoken by Mr. Nkandu in KAPUTA during the first local Talent Awards Ceremony.
In moving the department of art from the Ministry of Tourism to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, he praised President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA.
Due to the fact that the majority of artists are young people, Mr. Nkandu defended the viewpoint of the art department.
