The late wealthy businessman Jerabo Richard Mbulu, often known as “Chile One,” was murdered, and his wife has been accused of the crime. She has pled not guilty to one count of murder.
A businesswoman named Annie Monta is charged with killing Chile One in Kitwe on April 30, 2022, as a result of a marital argument.
Ms. Monta said she understood the charge when she appeared before Kitwe High Court Judge Evaristo Pengele yesterday and entered a not guilty plea.
The case was postponed by Judge Pengele until January 13, 2023, when the trial would start.
Ms. Monta is accused of killing her husband last year after an argument between the two.
Around 1:00 am on April 30, 2022, the incident took place at house number 26 on Ngozi Street in the Riverside neighborhood.
