Zambia has extended a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Israeli medical professionals to continue providing care for newborns with cardiac abnormalities.
Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO stated that as a result of the MOU signing ceremony between the Ministry of Health and Save a Child’s Heart of Israel, 2,000 infants will have access to heart surgery each year.
Ms. MASEBO revealed that heart operations will be performed by Save A Child’s Heart in May of 2019.
The ambassador of Israel to Zambia, OFRA FARHI, expressed her excitement for the heart operations that an Israeli surgical team from Save A Child Heart will perform in Zambia.
Executive Director and surgeon for Save A Child Heart SIMON expressed optimism that more kids would benefit from MoU by receiving heart operations.
