ALBERT HALWAMPA has been chosen by the ZDA Board to serve as the organization’s new director general.
Mr. HALWAMPA joined ZDA in 2015 and was serving in an acting capacity as Director General at the time of his appointment.
Mr. HALWAMPA will bring the much-needed change and contribute to the growth of trade and investments in Zambia, according to ZDA Board Chairperson BIEMBA MALITI.
Because of Mr. Halwampa’s extensive knowledge and strategic experience in promoting trade, investment, and policy development in regional and global markets, according to Professor MALITI, the board chose to nominate him.
The US-Zambia Business Forum, the EU-Zambia Economic Forum, and the China Zambia Trade and Investment Forum were among the successful inaugural Business Forums that the new ZDA Director General led teams to.
Professor MALITI disclosed that Mr. HALWAMPA had previously worked for the National Milling Company, the Zambia Educational Publishing House, and the Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research.
This is said in a statement made by RUSSELL HAAMUBBI, Acting ZDA Communications Manager.
