MALITI SOLOCHI, commander of the Zambia National Service (ZNS), has demanded that community pit mining be outlawed near the KASENSELI Gold Mine in the Mwinilunga District.
This came about as a result of gold resources being found by locals near the Kasenseli Gold Mine, where mining is currently going place.
This, according to Lieutenant General SOLOCHI, will prohibit all illicit gold mining operations around the Kasenseli area and contribute to maintaining the peace.
When General SOLOCHI visited the Kasenseli Gold mine in Mwinilunga, he was speaking.
The ZNS has also been advised by Mwinilunga District Commissioner HARRISON KAMONA to often rotate the officers stationed at the gold mine.
