Masilela was one of the first celebrities to arrive at the venue first and he had to wait more than 30 minutes for a tag to the venue.

The memorial service for slain rapper Kiernan AKA Forbes was held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Sandton on Friday.

However, the Legendary kwaito star Mdu Masilela left the memorial service of the late rapper AKA as an angry man.

According to him, the team responsible for allowing people into the memorial service made Masilela to wait more than 30 minutes for a tag to the venue.

Masilela grew impatient when he realised that people like Robert Marawa and Gemini Major who came after him were being attended to and given tags to access the venue.

“This is embarrassing. I have been waiting in line for a tag for a good half an hour and some people who came after me are being granted access to the venue. I’m not complaining but I am stating facts that the people who were behind me were never asked anything but they just looked them in the face and allowed them in,” he said.

“At least you are my witness that I came and showed ubuntu by coming here to pay my last respects to the fallen soldier. What is happening there at the entrance is something else and I don’t want to be seen as a cry baby. Let me love AKA and leave for my next meeting. I am not getting access,” said Masilela who said he would rather attend his business meetings than be made to wait for hours for a tag.

Masilela said he hoped AKA would understand that he had come to pay his last respect but circumstances did not allow him.
