A skateboarder from Lusaka has requested for funding for the sport to boost Zambia’s Olympic participation.
INNOCENT SICHANDE claims to have taken part in international competitions, but he skateboards in the hopes of representing Zambia in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
According to SICHANDE, providing young skateboarders with a suitable skating environment will allow them to practice and create original drills.
Furthermore, bouldering has been made a sport in the nation by Pa Mitengo Climbing and Calisthenics.
The sport is expanding, according to its creator DANIEL GHUI.
