A general worker “steals” K100,000 in startup capital.

A general laborer in Lusaka who allegedly does not understand the idiom “Don’t eat your seed” has been charged for stealing tomato seeds worth over K100,000 from his employer.

Theft by servant is alleged to have been committed by Muyunda Mwandamena, 47.

The claim is that between October 17 and October 15, this year, while working as a general worker for Storke Ayres Zambia Limited, the accused stole 102 packages of tomato seeds for a total of K101, 490.

The case was summoned on Monday and the accused person is expected to enter a plea before the Lusaka Magistrate’s Court.
