Chelsea and Liverpool Fight to a Goalless Draw

In a brutally disappointing draw at Anfield, Liverpool and Chelsea made their respective Premier League troubles clear for all to see.

The two titans, who have been vying for major awards in recent seasons, are currently trapped outside the top four, and it was evident in a dreadful game that was practically devoid of quality and enjoyment.

While Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson made a fine save from defender Benoit Badiashile, another new Chelsea addition, Chelsea had an early Kai Havertz goal ruled out for offside by VAR. Mykhailo Mudryk, an £89 million new kid, also made a lively debut as a second-half replacement.

Cody Gakpo, a £45 million signing for Liverpool, was reserved. Although he did force Kepa to make one save, the rest of his performance did little to warm the packed house at a chilly Anfield.
