According to the government, the hiring process for extension personnel in the department of fisheries and livestock has begun.
Livestock and Fisheries Minister MAKOZO CHIKOTE stated during the Contagious Bovine Pleura-Pneumonia – CBPP – engagement meeting in Lukulu District – Western Province that the government is dedicated to rekindling the ministry to ensure high productivity.
The government has purchased trucks and motorcycles to ensure efficient operations at the province, district, and camp levels, according to Mr. CHIKOTE, who also revealed that 390 camp officers will be hired this year.
Additionally, Chief MWEENE MUTONDO of the Nkoya people has requested that officers be dispatched to the rural areas where they should be stationed.
