Millers in Kitwe have complained about the Food Reserve Agency’s (FRA) inconsistent supply of maize.
The Millers informed Copperbelt Minister ELISHA MATAMBO that some of their factories had shut down due to a scarcity of maize, while others are not running at full capacity.
The millers claimed that they never receive any attention from FRA.
As Mr. MATAMBO visited numerous milling businesses in Kitwe, this was made clear.
And Mr. Matamba pledged to work with FRA to get millers their corn.
But, the Minister issued a warning that the government will not tolerate millers who overprice mealie meal.
