“Gas Stations In Residential Areas Marked Safe”

The public has been reassured by the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) that the rising number of gas stations in residential areas is safe as long as they are authorized by the board.

Fueling stations must follow safety regulations before opening, according to MOSES MWAMBENI, an engineer with ERB’s fossil fuel division.

This was remarked by Mr. MWAMBEN during a media awareness tour of the Lusaka Oryx and Mount Meru fueling stations on the Great East Road.

According to him, ERB conducts routine inspections of every service station to make sure that public safety regulations are followed, and any that are found to be in violation are either penalized or closed.
