Govt And Topstar Sign Zanis Tv Agreement

Government and Topstar Communications Company Limited have signed a service level agreement regarding ZANIS Television Channel’s use of the digital television transmission network.

Before the year is out, The ZANIS Channel is scheduled to launch.

Speaking at the signing event, Information and Media Permanent Secretary KENNEDY KALUNGA said the agreement’s signing shows the government’s dedication to ensuring that all citizens have equal access to information so they may effectively participate in the country’s growth.

The agreement, according to Mr. Kalunga, is crucial since it specifies the terms of ZANIS’s collaboration with Topstar in running the television channel.

According to JOHN ZHUANGY, Chief Executive Officer of Topstar Communications Company Limited, ZANIS has been under test transmission for the past three months, and with its addition, Topstar has completed its obligation to transmit five free-to-air channels on its platform.

The channel will be able to deliver news and bring original material because of its presence in more than 100 districts around the nation, according to ZANIS Director LOYCE SAILI, who also noted that the agreement’s signing marks the beginning of an exciting adventure.
