Govt Seek To Grow Private Sector

With a well-integrated transportation infrastructure, the government wants to make Zambia a center for regional transportation, according to Southern Province Minister Cornelius Mweetwa.

This, according to Mr. MWEETWA, is being accomplished by improvements in the network of highways, airports, inland waterways, and railways.

The tripartite council of ministers and senior officials meeting on the Walvis Bay Ndola -Lubumbashi development corridor was officially opened in Livingstone when the Southern Province Minister spoke.

According to Mr. MWEETWA, the Kavango and Zambezi River basins in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, and Angola are vital for promoting tourism in these countries as well as for the development of the Walvis Bay, Ndola, and Lubumbashi development corridor.
