Government has told Copperbelt communities that a deal with soon be announced for Konkola Copper Mines-KCM.
The agreement that the government is now negotiating, according to mines minister PAUL KABUSWE, will alter the province’s economic landscape.
He has urged patience as the government negotiates a favorable agreement for the mining behemoth.
Speaking during the opening of a classroom building at Kamenza Secondary School was Mr. KABUSWE, who is also a member of parliament for Chililabombwe.
He also gave the locals of Chililabombwe the assurance that a contract will soon be signed for the reconstruction of Township roads in the border town.
