NAPSA Will Take on the Informal Sector

The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) has promised assistance from the Kitwe District administration in enrolling those who work in the unorganized sector.

The initiatives to provide social protection for individuals in markets and bus terminals, according to Kitwe District Commissioner LAWRENCE MWANZA, should be encouraged.

Mr. MWANZA made this statement today in Kitwe at a gathering of members of the informal sector and NAPSA.

He expressed sadness that many people end up penniless when they stop working because they neglected to pay into a pension plan.

The Authority has put in place measures to reach out to people in the informal sector, according to SIMUWANA MUDENDA, the NAPSA Kitwe Area Manager, who also spoke at the same event.
